Chabot had represented the district for three decades. He was the longest-serving Republican in the Ohio delegation. He lost to Democrat Greg Landsman in the general election. Landsman, however, has already outraised Chabot, and is now the favorite to replace Chabot.
Ohio’s 1st congressional district borders Indiana and Kentucky and includes the western part of Cincinnati, as well as Warren County.
